TV Lamps 1950's Coolest Collectibles

This was a real issue for many households at that time. Thus, USA lighting manufacturers made decorative ceramic lamps to place on top of the TV and marketed them as a risk reducer for eye damage while viewing television. The "threat" didn't last long and TV lamps were only made for about ten years. In photos above a ship TV lamp which was popular on the east coast.
